   At El Colorado Snow & Skate, you are not a number. In fact, you are the exact opposite: you are an individual that each and every one working here cares about. You see, we are a small, customer oriented shop that began in the fall of 2000 with a dream. We wanted to buck the trend of mega-stores opening and closing, offering you foot-in-the-door type advertising, and offering very little in the way of actual substance and personal interaction. 


     At El Colorado, we meet and greet you, get to know your name, and treat every sale and product that we sell you as if we, ourselves, would wear or use what we are selling you. That’s why we carry snowboards made by snowboard companies (sorry ski companies, profit is nice, but not at the expense of degrading the companies that live and die on their word of making a good board), skis by ski companies, and skate product only by reputable skate companies.

     Now, in life, when some one takes a stand for a cause (think ethanol based vehicles), it usually comes with a catch: you end up feeling good about yourself at the expense of a lot more cash out of your wallet. Here, though, you can have the best of both worlds: a company with a philosophy that actually charges you less than our competition for the same exact product. You should check out our rental price page, and then look at what other people are doing. We encourage you, because an educated customer is the type of customer that we strive to attract.

     However, one thing you will notice, time and again, from our website, from our employees on the phone, and in our shop; is that we will take care of you, both price wise and service wise, and in the end, that benefits us both. As I previously stated, an educated customer is a good customer, and that is why you need to come in here and experience that dream that every one of us stands by. Because if I didn’t believe in it myself, I wouldn’t have started this company 10 years ago.
